REDUCED AMENITIES & CABIN ACCESS (NOVEMBER - APRIL):
From November-April, you must contact Starve Hollow’s office at 812-358-3464 during regular office hours (Mon-Fri 7:30a-3:30p, Closed Sat/Sun) prior to your arrival to make arrangements for cabin check-in and key pick-up. You will not have access to your cabin if you fail to do so. During these months, rent-a-camp cabins may be closed at any time due to inclement weather or staff availability.
Please be aware that the water will be turned off to the property (with the exception of 1 winter hydrant) and modern comfort stations closed during winter months (November-April). Depending on the forecasted temperatures, Starve Hollow will begin turning on water and opening up facilities between mid-March and late-April. Although a heat unit will be supplied, campers are expected to be prepared for staying overnight in below freezing temperatures with limited access to water.

For cars, trucks and campers, the entrance fee is $7 per vehicle for in-state plates and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state plates, seven days a week including holidays. For pedestrians, bicycles, buses and passenger vans, the entrance fee is $2 per person. When staying overnight, you will be required to pay the entrance fee the first time you enter and your receipt will serve as your in/out pass the remainder of your stay. In-state annual entrance permits (AEPs) are $50. Out-of-state annual entrance permits are $70. Golden Hoosier permits are $25.
Minimum age to rent a cabin is 21 years old.
Check-in: 3:00PM. Check-out: 12:00PM.
Quiet hours are from 11:00PM to 7:00AM.
Maximum capacity is 5 persons/cabin.
Leasing or sub-leasing cabins is prohibited.
No camping outside cabins or in parking areas. (No tents, camping trailers, RVs, etc.)
Cabin contains one set of twin bunk beds, one full size bed frame, small loft, table and 2 benches. No mattresses or linens provided.
Exterior front porch with swing.
Smoking and Cooking in cabins is prohibited.
No appliances, utensils or cooking area provided in cabin.
Gas lanterns, candles and open flame prohibited in cabin and on porch.
Fires allowed only in the campsite fire ring provided. Completely extinguish fire before vacating the campsite.
Cabins do not contain running water or restroom facilities.
Vault toilets and/or comfort stations with toilets, showers and running water available nearby.
Water fountain/spigot available nearby.
Do not nail, screw or affix items to cabin interior or exterior except on hooks provided.
Two vehicles permitted at cabin. Additional vehicles must park in the overflow lot.
1 picnic table provided.
Pets are not permitted in the cabin.
Cabin contains 2 overhead ceiling fans w/light.
Cabin has smoke alarm and fire extinguisher.
Cabin has rear egress/escape window.
Cabins are equipped with a smaller heater/AC unit. Supplemental heat and A/C units are prohibited.
Cabin has 20 AMP interior convenience outlets and 1 front porch exterior outlet.
Broom and dust pan provided. Please, sweep floors & remove trash from cabin before departure to avoid cleaning fees.
At check-in customer is required to sign a damage/cleaning release form. Damages or excessive cleaning incurred may result in additional fees.
Violation of rules may result in assessed damages, fines or expulsion and loss of fees paid.

Site
58 yards from lake, site dimensions are 65x25 with a 26x25 gravel parking area. Very flat site that is 18 yards from the Self-guided Oakleaf Nature Trailhead and 177 yards to boat dock. 317 yards to showerhouse, 237 yards to water supply, 322 yards to the Vault toilets and 210 yards to the playground.
