There are thousands of public and privately-owned campgrounds catering to the needs of millions of campers using tents, travel trailers, motor homes or other types of RVs. Our campground directory will describe each, as to location, season, rates and amenities.

State Agencies

  • Alaska State Parks

    From high alpine tundra to temperate rainforests, the state's diverse landscapes are reflected in the parks, historic sites, recreation areas, trails, preserves, and special management areas that comprise the Alaska State Park System-a collection of 123 units ranging in size from the half-acre Potter Section House State Historic Site to the 1.6-million-acre Wood-Tikchik State Park.
    Recreational opportunities are equally varied: hike through fields of lupine; pick blueberries under the midnight sun; snowmachine in Denali country; observe a pod of orcas from your sea kayak; or fish the world-famous Kenai River.
    Alaska State Park units are an essential component of the Alaskan lifestyle, with locals participating in wilderness recreation at a rate twice that of the national average. Alaskans make up over two-thirds of the 5.4 million annual visitors to our parks.     Colorado State Parks manages over 215,000 land and water acres which offers a variety of landscape to match the state's geography, from urban playgrounds to backcountry retreats, from mountain lakes to whitewater adventure.

  • Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection

    Offers campgrounds in thirteen state parks or forests with over 1400 campsites. Camping areas can be found in a variety setting including shadowy woodlands, sandy shoreline beaches and secluded islands.

  • Delaware State Parks

  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection

    Florida's state park system is one of the largest in the country with 159 parks spanning more than 723,000 acres and 100 miles of sandy white beach offering year-around outdoor activities for all ages.

  • Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites

    Georgia State Parks offer over 2,400 campsites including tent-only areas, RV pull-thru sites, primitive camping and group camping. Tent/Trailer/RV sites offer electrical and water hook-ups, grills or fire rings and picnic tables. Bath houses with hot showers are conveniently located. Some sites offer cable TV hook-ups.

  • Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism

    If you haven't visited a state park recently, look again. There's a world of outdoor adventures waiting for you! Kansas state parks provide utility and primitive camping. Most have access to reservoirs and wildlife areas. Many also have trails for hiking, biking or horseback riding. In 2008 the parks attracted 4.1 million visitors.

  • Pennsylvania State Parks

  • Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management

    Rhode Island offers five campgrounds with over 1000 campsites located in woodland and beach settings, on freshwater lakes and within minutes of Rhode Island's beautiful saltwater beaches. The sites range from primitive to developed sites with electric, water and sewer hookups.

  • Texas Parks & Wildlife

    Texas State Parks offer diverse landscapes and cultural destinations for a variety of outdoor and educational adventures. Life is better outside in a Texas State Park!

  • Utah State Parks and Recreation

    Manages more than 2,000 campsites ranging from primitive to plush. Recreation opportunities found in the state parks are as diverse as the parks themselves.

  • Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation

    Provides comfortable and economical overnight accommodations, ranging from primitive sites to developed sites with electric and water hookups.

  • Lower Colorado River Authority Parks
