Silver Lake State Park is 80 acres and has a 1,000 foot sandy beach on the 34 acre Silver Lake in Hollis, NH. The park has a beach, play fields and large picnic area. The park offers swimming, picnicking and a short loop hike that goes around the perimeter of the park. Across the street, guests can gain access to miles of hiking trails in the Spaulding Town Forest. There are grills and picnic tables located throughout the day-use area.

Beach Advisories

Please be aware that beach advisories occur unexpectedly during the summer months. Prior to your stay please check for beach advisories posted by the Dept. of Environmental Services by visiting:

Advisories are updated daily. Any cancellations or changes to a reservation need to be done through Reserve America and cancellation fees will apply.
Pets are not permitted at this park. Anyone entering with a pet will be asked to leave.

Day Use: Visitors should make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). However, a number of walk-in spaces are available, and visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit.

No pets are permitted in the park.
Park is carry in carry out, you must take all your trash home with you.
Music must be kept at low volume.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations MUST be made prior to 9AM of the day of your visit. There will be no refunds due to weather, insects, or failure to attend the park without prior notice. Refunds requested for extenuating circumstances must be submitted to: nhparks@dncr.nh.gov where they will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

NH Senior Discount:

New Hampshire Seniors: Indicate that you are a senior on your order details page and you will not be charged the day-use/parking fee. However, there is a $1 transaction fee for using the online reservation system.
