This is a primitive campsite with no electricity, potable water, or trash receptacles. Packing in supplies and packing out all trash is required.
Amenities: Picnic table and fire ring.
This campsite is closed during scheduled hunts. Check the Seminole Forest Wildlife Management Area regulations and hunting season dates before visiting the forest at http://www.myfwc.com/
Florida Black Bears are common in the area so be Bear Aware. Keep all food and attractants (toothpaste, bug spray, deodorant, sunscreen, coolers, garbage, etc.) in approved bear proof containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from the area after eating. Burn off food residue on outdoor grills. If you are unable to store items in your vehicle, place in bear bag and store it in a tree, 300 feet from sleeping area, 10 feet off the ground, and 4 feet from the attachment point.
Campfires are permitted only in the fire ring provided. Use only dead material found on the ground for firewood.
Vehicle must be parked at the designated parking area on Pine Road. Access to Pine Road is from Bear Pond or Cassia Trailhead.
For a forest map or further information about Seminole State Forest, visit the forest trailhead kiosk or please Click Here.

A gate combination will be provided to access the campsite via an improved forest road. Due to changing road conditions, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Vehicles must stay on named roads. Speed limit is 30 mph. All locked gates must remain locked after entering or leaving. Do not obstruct gates, roads, or fire lines. Unlicensed vehicles are prohibited on forest.
The campsite can also be accessed by hiking the Florida National Scenic Trail (orange blazes). The trail passes adjacent to the campsite near the northern intersection of the North Sulphur Island Loop hiking trail (blue blazes).
