Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
- Only valid for entry during the time slot you select. Once you enter, you may stay in the park for the rest of the day.
- Valid until 10 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
- Available up to 1 month in advance.
- Not transferrable to another person or park.
- Also sold at the park, if available.

Take Hwy 67 to Arden Rd, go West on Arden Rd to FM 2288 then North 1/2 mile to South Shore Entrance (Red Arroyo) or 10 miles to North Shore Entrance (Bald Eagle).
From North or South: Take Hwy 87 to FM 2288 South, go 1 mile to North Shore Entrance (Bald Eagle) or 10 miles South to South Shore Entrance (Red Arroyo).

Alerts and Important Information
July 25, 2025 - The Bald Eagle and North Concho Campgrounds are closed due to flood damage.
All trails are now open with the exception of Bell's Trailhead, Shady, North Scenic Loop, and Lower Ghost Camp trails. Do not cross the caution tape or disregard posted signage. These trails have significant debris and hazards present.
Entering the lake is at your own risk. It is not currently advised due to debris coming down the river and underwater currents.

PARK HUNT DATES:
Oct. 25-26
All trails North of the Burkett Trailhead, and Bald Eagle, North Concho, and Riverbend Camping Areas will close at 5pm the day before the first day of the hunt and will reopen at 8am the day after the hunt ends.
Nov. 4-6, Dec 2-4

April 17, 2025 - The park currently has lots of sticker burs in and around our campsites. Iti s recommended to wear good shoes and be cautious with pets and children.
March 22, 2025 - The Burkett Trail Bridge is closed. Do not cross the caution tape. Use the alternative creek crossing route on Burkett Trail. Contact the park for details.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

Red Arroyo, Isabel Harte Primitive Area, Limited Use cabins, and the Lakeview Day Use Area are closest to the South Shore Gate.
Bald Eagle and North Concho Campgrounds are closest to the North Shore Gate.
If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions - 325-949-4757 option 4.
Interpretive Tour Fees: Petroglyph, Permian Era Tracks, Longhorn, Bison, Dave Macey's Grave & Star Gazing. Contact Park for more information or reservations 325-949-4757.
Access to 40+ miles of multi-use trails from either N. or S. entrance. Watering troughs located throughout trails. Camping also available. Park has a small portion of the Texas Bison herd and official Texas Longhorn herd.
