AQUATIC CENTER ALERT FOR AUGUST RESERVATIONS AT PROPHETSTOWN
When making reservations for August stays at Prophetstown State Park, please note starting August 11th, 2025, the aquatic center will be closed Mondays through Fridays and open only on Saturdays and Sundays. The aquatic center will be open Saturday through Monday of Labor Day Weekend, closing for the season after September 1st, 2025. Hours of operation may vary and can change due to inclement weather, facility maintenance, and lifeguard availability.
NO OVERNIGHT USAGE ALLOWED - THIS SHELTER OR RECREATION BUILDING IS FOR DAY USE ONLY. Tents, dining flies, and other camping units are not allowed in shelter areas or recreation building areas. These are day-use facilities only and must be vacated each day by the designated check out time.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note that Coneflower is not a fully enclosed recreation building. It is an open air shelter with only a partially enclosed area. Please see additional amenities and site picture for more details.
For Prophetstown, the in-state vehicle entrance fee is $8 and out-of-state is $10 per vehicle. For pedestrians, bicycles, buses and passenger vans, the entrance fee is $2 per person. When staying overnight, you will be required to pay the entrance fee the first time you enter and your receipt will serve as your in/out pass the remainder of your stay. In-state annual entrance permits (AEPs) are $50. Out-of-state annual entrance permits are $70. Golden Hoosier permits are $25.
OPEN SIDED RECREATION BUILDING THAT IS 60 X 40'. MAXIMUM CAPACITY 120 PEOPLE & 40 VEHICLES. HAS 6 OUTLETS WITH 20/30 AMP ELECTRICITY. HAS 15 - 5' X 8' PICNIC TABLES, AND IS ADA ACCESSIBLE. IS 5' TO WATER, 200' TO MODERN ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS, 900' TO VAULT TOILETS, AND 200' TO PLAYGROUND. IS LOCATED WITHIN PRAIRIE VIEW GROUP PICNIC AREA AND IS SURROUNDED BY PRAIRIE GRASSES. CLOSE TO MODERN RESTROOMS AND ADA PLAYGROUND; THIS OPEN SHELTER IS EQUIPPED WITH AN ENCLOSED SERVERY THAT INCLUDES A LARGE BUILT-IN CHARCOAL GRILL, A STAINLESS STEEL BUFFET COUNTER, SEVEN ELECTRICAL OUTLETS, TWO FOLDING TABLES, AND A GROUP SERVING LINE.
