Save the Day Passes
Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
- Only valid for entry during the time slot you select. Once you enter, you may stay in the park for the rest of the day.
- Valid until 10 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
- Available up to 1 month in advance.
- Not transferable to another person or park.
- Also sold at the park, if available.
Driving Directions
From Houston:
Take Hwy 59 South to Victoria. Take Hwy 77 South to Corpus Christi. Take SH 358 East to Park Road 22 to Padre Island. Then North On SH 361 for 5 miles to the park. OR On Hwy 77 at Sinton, take Hwy 181 to Gregory. Take SH 361 to Port Aransas, then 13 miles South to the park.
From San Antonio: Take I 37 South to Corpus Christi. Take SH 358 East to Park Road 22 to Padre Island. Then North on SH 361 for 5 miles to the park.

Alerts and Important Information
June 20, 2025 - The road north of Fish Pass is undergoing roadwork improvements starting today. Please observe signs for your safety. The road may be closed for periods, or road conditions may be rough.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$7 per day, per person 13 and older.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Office is open daily 8am-5pm.
Gate is open from 8am to 10pm. If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park at 361-749-5246 prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions.
There may be periodic fee booth closures, but there will be a self pay station available.
All-terrain vehicles are not street legal; can't be driven on beach/road.
Park does have a 14 day limit.
Park has 50 primitive sites. Check with the park on the day of arrival for availability.

Notes
If you a have a reservation and arrive after the Park Headquarters is closed please proceed to your site and check in by 9AM at the Park Headquarters Office. For beach campers, you may use self-pay for one night, follow the signs for beach camping and check in by 9AM the next morning at the Park Headquarters Office to extend your stay.
