Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (November-March), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.

PARK HUNT DATES:
Jan. 9-11

The entire park will be closed from 10pm the day before to 8a. the day after.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$6 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
This park does not have a gate.

Office Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm daily.

During the months of October and November, the park is very crowded on weekends. Parking is limited to 250 vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to come on weekdays.

No kayaking or tubing, the river is too shallow. There is a lot of natural areas for walking/hiking.

Notes

There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry. If arriving after hours for Day Use completely fill out and deposit the correct payment in the self-pay envelope. A self-pay station is located outside of the Park Headquarters. There is no reservation list posted. Campers with reservations can choose a vacant site; bypassing the self-pay station. All customers arriving after hours must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.

FOR CAMPSITE PRIMITIVE:
Please fill out a Pre-Registration form upon arrival and return by 10am the next day for payment of fees. (Box is located outside of the park office.)
