Lake Owyhee State Park is a remote oasis catering to camping and boating on the shore of a scenic desert canyon reservoir.
Owyhee Reservoir is a 53-mile-long lake, filling a narrow, deep canyon brimming with colorful volcanic rock formations.
The cabins at Indian Creek Campground at Lake Owyhee State Park are reservable March 1 through November 14th.
McCormack Campground is open from April 15 through October 31, with reservations May 1 through September.
Indian Creek campground is open April 15 through November 14th. Reservations are available May 1 through November 14th.

Potable water is only available mid-April through mid-October.
No pay phones or cell phone service at the park. Volunteer hosts and staff are not always available. This is a remote recreational experience. Please prepare accordingly.

Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name.

Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee.
The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00.

Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 1pm.
Seasonal Availability
  • All sites except for cabins are closed to reservations from Nov 1 - end of March
  • Cabins closed to reservations from Nov 15 - end of March
  • Fish cleaning station will be closed for repairs until 2024.
  • Indian Creek, including cabins, will be open first come-first serve during winter, weather permitting
  • Potable water is only available mid-May through mid-October.
