All vehicles need a park entry permit, which is separate from camping fees. For Nebraska-licensed vehicles, daily permits are $7 and annual permits are $35. For non-Nebraska vehicles, daily permits are $14 and annual permits are $70. Permits can be purchased online at OutdoorNebraska.gov or onsite when you arrive.

Due to low water levels, Little Thunder campground sites are approximately 3/4 of a mile from the water's edge.

CHECK IN AND OUT SCHEDULE
If you check out early, the unused portion of your payment will be forfeited. Campers with reservations must check in with staff either at a kiosk (fee booth) or at the Visitor Center. Check-In time is from 2 pm MST to 9 pm MST. Please be prepared to provide your name and reservation number. Your reservation number can be accessed from your confirmation email, or by logging into your Reserve America account.
All overnight campers must: Make a reservation in advance. Check in with park staff before proceeding to their campsite.

REGULATIONS
The possession and consumption of alcohol is prohibited at Lake McConaughy SRA and Lake Ogallala SRA.
Pets must be kept on a leash, no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
All garbage must be contained at all times and must be deposited in provided containers upon departure.
The use of UTVs, ATVs and/or golf carts is prohibited.
Glass is prohibited on all beach areas.
The possession and use of fireworks is prohibited.
Fires are allowed in provided fire rings in the campgrounds, and on the beach in camping areas. Fires are not allowed on designated day use areas of the beach. All fires must be monitored by an adult at all times and properly extinguished. Fire pits created on the beaches, must be cleaned, filled-in and restored to their original condition prior to departure.
Occupancy for overnight camping is 8 people and 2 tents or 1 camper+1 tent. If you have more than this you must purchase additional campsites, or purchase a group site.
