Payment of Fees

All camping and reservation fees must be paid in advance of occupancy or use of park facilities. Campers are responsible for all fees related to this policy. If you have any questions about reservations, please call the ASPIRA Call Center at (800) 244-5613.

Beginning July 1, 2023, all Full Hookup, Cabin, Yurt, and Electric site types will be subject to a Lodging Tax per the Department of Revenue. This tax is paid to the county in which the park is located and is not retained by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Reservation fees DO NOT include parks pass entrance fees. All vehicles must have a valid park pass in order to access the park. Annual passes may be purchased at the time of your reservation or online, by phone, at sales agents, or CPW offices and parks. Daily vehicle and individual/walk-in park passes may be purchased with cash or check (self-serve, no attendant) upon arrival at the park.

MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGER:

From all of us at Highline Lake State Park, welcome! We look forward to your upcoming visit. To help you get the most out of your time in the park, take a moment to visit our website for the most up to date information on park conditions, park projects and construction, and educational events taking place during your stay.

When you arrive at the park, our friendly staff can assist you with your Daily Park Pass or Annual Pass purchase. For your convenience, our Visitor Center also has a park store for items you may have forgotten at home and t-shirts to commemorate your vacation to Highline Lake.

As Highline Lake State Park works toward Leave No Trace Gold Standard, please follow the seven LNT principles during your trip:
  • Plan Ahead and Prepare
  • Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
  • Dispose of Waste Properly
  • Leave What You Find
  • Minimize Campfire Impacts
  • Respect Wildlife
  • Be Considerate of Others

We are here to help you plan your visit and answer your questions. Check out our website or call us directly at 970-858-7208 between 8am and 4pm daily. If your plans change and you aren’t able to make your reservation, please change or cancel your reservation so the campsite can be made available to other visitors who want to stay with us. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation, we will try to make contact with you but if we do not hear back, we will “no-show” the reservation so that it can be reserved by the next visitor. Our cancellation, change, and no-show policy is listed below for your convenience.

Have a great time at Highline Lake State Park. I know that you will enjoy our spectacular night sky views in western Colorado.

    Alan Martinez, Park Manager
