Save the Day Passes
Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
  • Valid until 10 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
  • Available up to 1 month in advance.
  • Not transferrable to another person or park.
  • Also sold at the park, if available.

Driving Directions
From Ft. Worth: Take 199 North into Jacksboro. Park will be on left 1 mile past flashing light. From Denton: Take 380 West into Jacksboro. Park will be on left 1 mile past flashing light.

From Mineral Wells: Take 281 North into Jacksboro. Park will be on left 1 mile past flashing light.

From Wichita Falls: Take 281 South in Jacksboro. Park will be on right 1 mile past Court House square.

From Denton: Take 380 West into Jacksboro. Park will be on left 1 mile past flashing light.
Alerts and Important Information
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$4 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
The Park does not have gates. Office Days/Hours are: Sunday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday 8am-8pm.

FISHING:
Fishing available in the main park, with a swimming beach and fishing pier located at the North Park, located 3 miles away on Lake Jacksboro.

TOUR INFORMATION:
Tours are free of charge with park entrance.
We offer guided tours Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 pm, The historic buildings are open for self-guided tours on the weekends from 10am to 4pm.

FOR MAIN PARK:
There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry. There is no reservation list posted. Customers without a reservation must contact the park on the day of arrival and during business hours to check availability. Making a reservation with the park eliminates the risk of overselling a booked park.

Customers with reservations should contact the park prior to arrival to be directed to their assigned area. If customers with reservations have not arrived by the time the office closes, the park will attempt to contact them using phone numbers given in the customer profile. If arriving after hours, customers can proceed to a campsite that does not have a `RENTED' sign hanging from the electric pedestal. All customers arriving after hours must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.

Gate locks at dusk and does not reopen until 8am. No gate code is necessary for entry during daylight hours. Customers with reservations should contact the park prior to office closing on the day of arrival to be directed to their assigned area.
