Save the Day Passes
Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
  • Valid until 5 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
  • Available up to 1 month in advance.
  • Not transferrable to another person or park.
  • Also sold at the park, if available.

Driving Directions
From Dallas: Take Hwy 75 North to Denison. From US Highway 75, take exit #72, which is Highway 91. Go north on Highway 91 to Denison Dam, turn left/West on FM 1310, and go 1.8 miles to park entrance.

From US Highway 69 (Texas), north from Denison to FM 84. Turn left/West FM 84 to Highway 91. Turn right/North on Highway 91 and go to Denison & turn left/West on FM 1310, and go 1.8 miles to park entrance.
Alerts and Important Information
Aug. 3, 2025 – Swim beach and Fossil Ridge fishing pier are closed..

March 14, 2025 - There is construction taking place on one of the main roads that leads into the park. Please use exit 72 instead of exit 70 until construction is complete.

July 7, 2022 - This county is under a quarantine to prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer to other areas of the state. This means movement of firewood is restricted.
Please buy firewood where you burn it to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$5 per day, per person 13 years and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Park does not have a gate.

If claiming multiple sites, the balance on the site is required to be paid in order to check-in the reservations.

Park does have All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trails approx. 8 acres in size that are suitable for novice riders. The trails are located in an area at the back of the park across from the Fossil Ridge Camping Area. ATV's are not permitted on park roads or trails, they must be trailered or in a pickup bed & transported the trailhead. Trails are easy for all ages. Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) permit is required & all applicable laws apply.

There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry.

Customers arriving after hours must use the self-pay station located behind the booth at the Park entrance. All overnight customers must register in person at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.

FOR SCREENED SHELTER/CABIN/PAVILION/GROUP HALL:
If arriving after hours, customers with reservations should locate the board next to the Entrance Door at the Park Headquarters. Keys and instructions will be on the envelope with their name on it. All overnight customers must register in person at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
