Just a short drive from this mountain sports town and the depot for the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, the Durango KOA provides a panoramic view of the jagged San Juan Mountains. At an elevation of 7,000 feet, this pinon-shaded campground makes for comfortably cool summer nights. Wake up to a pancake breakfast served at the Kaboose Kafe, check with the office for times. Enjoy the dessert bar with sundaes, root beer floats and fresh baked pies. Take in a free nightly movie, weekly duck races, mini golf, a heated pool, sluice mining, poly pong and kids' activities. We have many lodging choices including basic cabins to the all-out comfort of our deluxe cabins, basic RV sites to deluxe patio sites and tent sites. Durango is famous for rafting on the Animas River, hiking, biking, jeep tours, fantastic scenery, historic downtown and a plethora of great restaurants. Make Durango KOA your base camp for Mesa Verde National Park, only an hour's drive away. We are one of the closest campgrounds to downtown Durango. Pool: May 25 - September 17. Max pull thru: 100 feet.
