Sleeps 6 (maximum 6) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. Cabin #3 has minimum amenities: sleeping platforms, a counter for food preparation, a wood stove, an outdoor picnic table, and a fire ring. Cabin #3 is wired for electricity, but you will need to bring your own generator. It is also recommended you bring your own light bulbs. Summer access: Turn into Byers Lake campground at mile 147 Parks Highway and follow the gravel road for one half mile from the highway to the Public Use Cabin 2&3 signs. One-half mile walk from the gate in the campground, or canoe one-half mile from boat launch.Driving time from Anchorage is approximately 2.5 hours. Winter access (beginning September 30): Park at the Alaska Veteran's Memorial, milepost 147.1, Parks Highway, and follow the marked winter trail with snow vehicle, skis, dog sled, or on foot. At the bottom of the hill near the lake, take the left hand fork - total distance is 1.7 mile. The Cabin is about 70 yards south from Cabin #2
