Alerts and Important Information
Site
Organized group tenting sites at this location require you to walk to the site and have limited parking. Please note you will need to carry your gear uphill and back to the organized group tenting site.

Firewood Alert: Bringing firewood into Pennsylvania is prohibited and could result in a citation. To help protect the forest from invasive insects that can kill trees and devastate the ecosystem, please do not transport firewood over long distances. Firewood can harbor insects such as emerald ash borer. The use of local firewood is strongly recommended. All firewood must be burned prior to your departure.

The spotted lanternfly has invaded our area. This invasive insect could cause serious harm to Pennsylvania's resources, businesses, and economy. LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAVE! Help us stop the spread of these unwelcome hitchhikers. Inspect your vehicle, camper, tent, gear, etc. before you leave the park and destroy any lanternflies you find. For more information, visit the Penn State Extension's Spotted Lanternfly website at https://extension.psu.edu/.
This is an organized group tenting site. If you are looking for a family campsite, please select a different site type.

Pennsylvania State Parks defines an organized group as:

  • An organized group has a formal organization to coordinate and carry out its activities, appointed or elected leadership and holds periodic meetings.
  • An organized youth group has a majority of its members under age 18 and is affiliated with an on-going organization like school, youth and church groups.
  • An organized adult group has a majority of its members above 18 years of age and is affiliated with an organization such as the Rotary Club or the Lions Club.

If your group does not fit one of these categories, please select a different site type. Parks may require proof of your group's status upon check in. Non-organized groups that do not meet the criteria above are not permitted on this site.

If you are not an organized group, and book the site, you may be asked to leave the park or switched to the correct site type, if available, and charged the correct amount, which may be higher.

If you have questions regarding your group’s status, please contact the park for clarification.

Following completion of this transaction, please update your account information (located under My Reservations and Account) to include your organized group name in the “Name of Organization” block (i.e. Girl Scout Troop #12345).

The Organized Group Tenting Area sites require patrons to walk to the site. Vehicles and Trailers are not permitted at the site. Campers will need to park and then hike in to the sites.
Please be aware that bringing firewood into PA is prohibited. Moving firewood into parks spreads insects and diseases. Walnut materials are prohibited from being transported from Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Chester, and Delaware counties. The use of local firewood is strongly recommended. All firewood must be burned prior to your departure. Firewood and Ice are available for sale at the Campground Host site located on site #12. Sales proceeds go back to the park to fund improvement projects.
Pets are not permitted.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the State Park. The Organized Group Tenting Camping Area is a walk-in site. Camping gear and equipment must be carried-in and carried-out from the parking area. The distance from the parking area to the site is approximately 100 feet. Two designated parking spaces are avaliable for users of the Organized Group Tent Camping Area. The designated parking spaces can accommodate a trailer 20 feet in length with a twoing vehicle unhooked. Additional vehicles must park in the Extra Car Parking area located in the Nature Center.
