CAMPGROUND AND RIVER ACCESS CLOSURES: From Nov. 7, 2025, until March 1, 2026, the campground will be closed for drainage and asphalt repairs. There will be no camping available during this closure. In addition, the Ohio River boat ramp and portions of the main park road will be closed for drainage and asphalt repairs. The main park road will be closed just past the Rose Island intersection, and no traffic will be allowed to the river during this time. The park is still open for day visits. You can find nearby camping at Deam Lake SRA or Clifty Falls State Park.
NO OVERNIGHT USAGE ALLOWED - THIS SHELTER OR RECREATION BUILDING IS FOR DAY USE ONLY. Tents, dining flies, and other camping units are not allowed in shelter areas or recreation building areas. These are day-use facilities only and must be vacated each day by the designated check out time.
For cars, trucks and campers, the entrance fee is $7 per vehicle for in-state plates and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state plates, seven days a week including holidays. For pedestrians, bicycles, buses and passenger vans, the entrance fee is $2 per person. When staying overnight, you will be required to pay the entrance fee the first time you enter and your receipt will serve as your in/out pass the remainder of your stay. In-state annual entrance permits (AEPs) are $50. Out-of-state annual entrance permits are $70. Golden Hoosier permits are $25.
