The Primary Occupant listed on any reservation cannot be changed once a reservation is made and must present a valid ID at check-in.
Reservation Change Freeze
An 18-calendar-day change freeze will be applied to new reservations beginning May 1, 2025. All changes, including modifying arrival dates or transferring reservations, will not be possible within 18 days of the original booking date.

No overnight accommodations.
Pavilion Cancellation/Change Policy: A Cancellation/Change up to 31 days in advance of the reserved date will be charged a $30 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 30 days of the reserved date. One change in the date of the reservation is permitted without charge. The new date must be within the year of the original reservation date. Any additional changes will be considered a cancellation and subject to fees.
Due to their environmental impact, no confetti, balloons, glow sticks, artificial flower petals, birdseed or rice may be used for decorative or celebratory purposes.
Park Entrance Fees: In effect for reservations between March 1st and November 30th. guests will need to be prepared to pay this fee upon entry to the Park. Credit Cards are accepted, Cash only if fee booth is open.
Special Use Permits: Pavilion reservations associated with wedding ceremonies and Special Use Events must obtain a Special Use Permit through the Park in addition to reserving the Pavilion. To obtain this permit, please inquire via email at CapeReservations@delaware.gov. Please note that failure to obtain this permit will result in the denial of any ceremonial activities taking place.
Parking: Please park in designated parking lots. Parking next to a pavilion is prohibited. PARKING IS LIMITED. Once a Park Administrator or designated agent stipulates a park has reached capacity, no additional visitors will be admitted. Plan to carpool and arrive early in the day, especially on weekends.
Tobacco Use: Pavilions are designated tobacco free zones.
Trash Removals: Included in Pavilion rentals
Alcoholic Beverages:Alcohol may only be displayed and consumed within pavilion area. Keg beer is not permitted. Only cans may be brought into the park. No glass bottles.
Pets: Pets are NOT allowed at pavilion sites.

Restrooms: Portable toilets are within walking distance of the pavilion and are open March 1 through November 30. Main Beach Bathhouse is open from April 1 to October 31.

Swimming: Seasonally guarded swimming beach.
Access: The pavilion parking area is gated and will remain locked until you open it for your event. You will be provided the code in your Confirmation Letter. Once you open the gate, the park is not responsible for vehicles parking in the area that are not associated with your group.
Additional Information: Picnic tables must remain underneath the pavilion. Directional signs must be free-standing, approved by the park office and removed immediately following your event. Decorations shall not be nailed or stapled into any park structure or tree.

Group Recognition: Email the Park at CapeReservations@delaware.gov prior to the day of your event if there is an identifiable name (reunion, organization, celebration, etc.) associated with the event. This will help staff direct your guests to the correct area in the park.
