Interior sites at Big Bend Ranch SP are accessible by rugged unpaved roads only. RVs and trailers not outfitted with high clearance off-road suspensions are strongly discouraged from reserving interior sites. If you would like to reserve a site that can accommodate a standard RV or trailer, check availability for sites in the Barton Warnock Visitor Center location.
Site
This site is Fresno Canyon. Located in the Upper Fresno Canyon Backcountry Zone. Must have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access this site. Our 4WD roads are not suitable for most All-Wheel drive vehicles; clearance needs to be above 8''. There is a little hike to get to the site. This is a group site with 2 picnic tables, and a fire ring.
Rincon Mountain is visible. Fresno Peak mountain is directly in front of the site. Campers are protected from northern winds, with cottonwood trees off to the southeast. This site has awesome mountain views.
This is an Equestrian site (no pens) hitch rails are available, and there is an undeveloped spring nearby.
This site requires a toilet system to occupy. No composting toilet is available. No ''cat-holing'' is allowed. Toilet systems can be purchased at a visitor center. Capacity 8.
