From IH 30:
Take Exit 220 A. Turn Right onto Highway 59 South Atlanta/Houston. Head South on Highway 59 to Queen City. Turn right onto FM 2791. Travel approximately 7.6 miles and turn right onto FM 96 at Antioch Church. Travel approximately 1.4 miles and turn left onto FM 1154. Travel 2 miles to the end of FM 1154 and turn left onto Park Road 42.
From Highway 59 South:
Turn left onto Highway 77 West. Travel approximately 7 miles and turn right onto FM 96. Stay on FM 96 through Antioch community for 3 miles to FM 1154. Turn left onto FM 1154. Travel 2 miles to the end of FM 1154 and turn left onto Park Road 42.
Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (January-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
Advance reservations are closed between December 13 and December 17 for the Christmas in the Park Event.
PARK HUNT DATES:
Dec. 5-7 and Jan. 13-15
The entire park will be closed from 4:30pm the night before the first day of the hunt and will reopen at 8am the day after the hunt ends.
August 15, 2022 - This county is under a quarantine to prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer to other areas of the state. This means movement of firewood is restricted.
Please buy firewood where you burn it to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.
The swimming area is open however it is swim at your own risk. Due water levels being high, there is currently a drop off at the swimming area as well.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

$3 per day, per person 13 and older.

There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry. Customers arriving after hours must use the Iron Ranger located at the Park Headquarters. There will notification if the park is `Full' and an `Available Sites' listing on the door of park headquarters. Sites for campers without a reservation are first-come first-serve and are only guaranteed night of arrival. Maps of the park, fees, and instructions for self-pay envelopes are posted by the Iron Ranger. All overnight customers paying with credit card must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
