REDUCED AMENITIES & CABIN ACCESS (NOVEMBER - APRIL):
From November-April, you must contact Starve Hollow’s office at 812-358-3464 during regular office hours (Mon-Fri 7:30a-3:30p, Closed Sat/Sun) prior to your arrival to make arrangements for cabin check-in and key pick-up. You will not have access to your cabin if you fail to do so. During these months, rent-a-camp cabins may be closed at any time due to inclement weather or staff availability.
Please be aware that the water will be turned off to the property (with the exception of 1 winter hydrant) and modern comfort stations closed during winter months (November-April). Depending on the forecasted temperatures, Starve Hollow will begin turning on water and opening up facilities between mid-March and late-April. Although a heat unit will be supplied, campers are expected to be prepared for staying overnight in below freezing temperatures with limited access to water.
Please contact the office for further questions and/or to inquire about water and comfort station availability.
This is an ADA Accessible site. The limited number of Accessibility sites are provided for persons with a disability, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act. If no one in your party meets this definition, please select another site. If there are no other sites available, then an ADA site may be reserved by persons without a disability. Please note, if you choose to reserve an ADA Accessibility site solely because there are no other sites available, but upon your arrival a comparable non-ADA site is available, property management reserves the right to transfer you to the non-ADA site.
This site is considered 'premium' because it is lakefront and is near a playground.
For cars, trucks and campers, the entrance fee is $7 per vehicle for in-state plates and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state plates, seven days a week including holidays. For pedestrians, bicycles, buses and passenger vans, the entrance fee is $2 per person. When staying overnight, you will be required to pay the entrance fee the first time you enter and your receipt will serve as your in/out pass the remainder of your stay. In-state annual entrance permits (AEPs) are $50. Out-of-state annual entrance permits are $70. Golden Hoosier permits are $25.
For camping, check-in and check-out time is 2pm, except Sundays and holidays when check-in and check-out time is 5pm, local time.
