Harriman State Park Policies

By booking my rental facility at Harriman State Park of Idaho, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the policies for using Harriman State Park of Idaho overnight facilities and agree to take responsibility (you are the Responsible Party) for the conduct of my group and agree to compensate the Department of Parks and Recreation for any damage, beyond normal wear and tear, incurred to park facilities by those of my group.

  • A 7.00 Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee (MVEF) is required for every vehicle entering Idaho State Parks (including visitors to campers). If you need a MVEF parking pass, please stop by the visitor center to purchase one.
  • MVEF may be paid for at the daily rate or by purchasing a State Park Passport or an Annual Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee sticker.
  • During the winter there is a $5.00 per person Winter Access Fee payable upon arrival at the park. For more information on annual passes please contact the park at 208-558-7368.
  • Renters are responsible for light cleaning of the building prior to departure; cleaning and damage fees may apply. Please see the Facility Manual located in your building to review cleaning procedures, rules and regulations, and helpful information about your facility, park amenities, and regional information.
  • No smoking in any park facilities- please be considerate of others and smoke outside.
  • Pets are not allowed on park trails, in any park buildings or yurts. They are allowed in the parking lots only and must be on a leash at all times. The only exception is during winter months, on the Harriman Hounds trail when the trail is groomed. This trail goes south into the National Forest, and can be accessed via the Visitor Center west side parking lot.
  • Camping is not permitted at Harriman State Park; additional camping equipment, such as RVs tents, or awnings will not be permitted.
  • Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
  • Fireworks are prohibited in all parks at all times. No Exceptions!
  • Please look at the park maps to find the location of the facility and parking area. If you need assistance, please contact the park at 208-558-7368.

Check-in Procedure: The building will be unlocked and the key will be located on the table. If the key is not present, or the building is found to be dirty, please immediately contact park staff.

Check-out Procedure: Following your departure, the building is inspected for cleanliness and damage. Please leave keys in facility and doors unlocked.

Cancellation Policy: If a cancellation occurs 21 or fewer calendar days prior to arrival, customer forfeits the first night or daily usage fee (base rate). If the cancellation occurs more than 21 calendar days prior to arrival, a cancellation charge of $50.00 will be assessed. At no time shall the customer be charged a cancellation fee that exceeds the base rate paid for the facility.
