The Barracks/Bunkhouse is a complex with a Group Dining Hall with Kitchen, Group Rec Hall (game hall), Staff Building (Counselor's Dorm), two Restrooms and four Dorms. No pets are allowed in or around the Barracks area. The maximum overnight capacity is 78 and is strictly enforced. The site key will only be released to the person whose name is on the reservation, unless said person contacts the park staff direct and gives permission for someone else to receive the key.
Entrance Fees are Waived for guests using this facility.
While the entire site is not ADA-compliant, the counselor's dorm and dining hall, and game hall are wheelchair accessible.
The game hall is heated but is not air-conditioned. All other buildings have heat and A/C.
Peak Rate applies Friday and Saturday nights; Non-Peak applies Sunday thru through Thursday. Facility is unavailable two days following departure date, giving staff time to clean. Friday and Saturday must be rented together, with a minimum two-night rental on weekend. Friday and Saturday nights cannot be rented separately.
The Barracks has four dorms, each with 8 bunk beds, including mattresses.
CURRENTLY OUT OF SERVICE: The Counselor's Dorm, Section 1, has 4 bunk beds with mattresses (one in each room) and one restroom with a shower. Note: Section 1 is out of service until further notice.
The Counselor's Dorm, Section 2, sleeps 12 people and has 2 rooms, each with 3 bunk beds. It also has two restrooms, each with a shower.
The kitchen is equipped with an upright freezer, commercial refrigerator, commercial ice maker, a 10-burner gas stove with two ovens, and a microwave.
Guests must provide their own linens, eating and cooking utensils, and dishwashing and drying materials.
A rental agreement and a $750 refundable cleaning/damage/key deposit is required for use of this facility. If facility is not left clean, free of damage (including odors from smoking), the keys are not returned, or pets are brought onto the grounds or into the buildings, the entire $750 cleaning/damage deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, if any part of the complex is occupied by the host, visitors, or other associated parties after 11:00 AM, the full $750 cleaning/damage deposit will be forfeited, and the host will be required to pay a late fee of $50 for every 30 minutes past 11:00 AM (rounded to the nearest half hour, but not less than $50). The deposit will not be returned until park staff has conducted a comprehensive inspection within 48 hours of group departure.
Barracks/Bunkhouse complex must be cleaned, trash disposed of properly, and equipment must be returned to the same set up prior to departure.
Barracks does not include the ballfield or fishing pier. The ballfield may be made available to Group Camp customers on a case-by-case basis with Superintendent approval.
RVs, motor homes, and other vehicles used for overnight camping are not allowed in the Group Barracks area. If a member of a reserving group brings an RV, they need to make a reservation for an RV campsite in our electric & water overnight camping loop.
