Salt Point State Park includes six miles of the Sonoma Coast, ranging from sandy beach coves to steep bluffs and sandstone cliffs. At the top of the coastal ridge there is a large prairie and pygmy forest. Wildlife includes the long-tailed weasel, wild pigs, brown pelicans and other water birds, blacktail deer, raccoons, coyotes, and a variety of rodents. The park has miles of hiking and horseback trails. The area is also the site of an underwater reserve for divers.

Park Kiosk Hours:

Hi Season: 8am-4pm
During the "lo season" the kiosks at Salt Point are not staffed.

Alerts and Important Information

Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.

Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP).

Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.

Gerstle Cove Campground

Reservations available from March 15 through September 30
1st-1st when not on reservations.

Woodside Campground

Reservations available from April 1 through September 2.
Closed when not on reservations.

WOODSIDE and GERSTLE COVE are the loops in this park. To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants.
