DescriptionSeason for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15Pismo State Beach offers all kinds of attractions: hiking, swimming and surf fishing (and digging for the famous Pismo clam); the annual winter migration of millions of monarch butterflies (the park has the largest over-wintering colony of monarch butterflies in the U.S.); and tree-lined beach is also popular with bird watchers. Alerts and Important Information ATTENTION: The campground is in the process of converting to site-specific reservations. ALL reservations for arrivals prior to June 1st 2012 will NOT be site specific. Although it will look like you are choosing a specific site, a campsite will be assigned to you upon arrival at the campground. Reservations for arrival after June 1, 2012 will be for a specific site. For more information, questions, or concerns, please call park staff at (805) 473-7220 Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.
Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). North Beach Area is not right on the beach. It is inland behind the dunes. Oceano Area is not right on beach either.
