The information below is valid when operations are normal:

Reservations are accepted at most campgrounds and at parks with reservable group day-use facilities. While reservations are not required to camp, they are recommended because sites and facilities fill quickly. Other things to know:

Same-day online reservations now available statewide as of Jan. 1, 2024. That means most Oregon State Park campgrounds will allow visitors to make same-day camping reservations online.

Previously, visitors could only make online reservations 24 hours in advance of their arrival date. Now visitors can make online reservations on the same day that they plan to camp at most parks. Learn more at https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=v.feature-article&articleId=323.

  • New reservations are accepted starting the same day as arrival through six months in advance.  
  • New sites come online at 6 a.m. daily.
  • An $8 reservation fee is charged for each site reserved whether you call or go online unless it’s a same-day reservation, in which case the $8 fee is waived.  .
  • You will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail (within 1 hour) or in the mail (within 7-10 days) after making your reservation.
  • You must be 18 or older to make a reservation. An adult must accompany minors at the site.
  • Horse camping sites are only for people camping with their horses or other pack animals.
  • Some campgrounds are first-come, first-served. Check individual park pages for season dates and reservation information.
  • Reservations are required for yurts and cabins.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time you make your reservation or change an existing reservation.

  • Online reservations must be paid with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
  • Over the phone, we also accept gift certificates, if the reservation arrival date is in 10 days or more.

Changes and Cancellations

  • Changes can be made online or by calling 800-452-5687 during business hours (8 a.m –5 p.m. Monday through Friday). Changes are subject to a transaction fee. See our Change Reservation page for information.
  • You may cancel your campsite, cabin, or, yurt reservation by phone or online up to one day before your scheduled arrival. If you need to cancel on your arrival date, call the park directly. Cancellations are subject to a transaction fee. See our Cancel Reservation page for details.
  • Group camps and group picnic areas have different cancellation windows. See our Cancel Reservation page for information.
  • Only the person whose name is on the reservation can change or cancel the reservation.

Camping without a Reservation

At campgrounds that accept reservations, any unreserved sites are available without a reservation for one night (must make reservation on the coast). Campers who wish to stay additional nights are asked to make a reservation at oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com, or check with a park ranger.
