DescriptionPearl Hill's campground offers some of the largest and most private campsites in Massachusetts, all beneath a canopy of stately pines, served by a large accessible bathhouse. Pearl Hill offers exceptional woodland camping, along with a large Meadow that can be reserved for Special Use Group Outings. Contact Park Headquarters for additional information. This area of north central Massachusetts offers miles of hiking trails, abundant swimming opportunities and great antiquing. IMPORTANT: MA State Parks prohibits the transportation of firewood into or out of MA State Park Campground facilities. Arriving customers must get their firewood at the campground. Firewood is available for $5.00 per bundle. Pricing may vary at campgrounds with camp stores. Transportation of firewood into or out of MA State Park Campground facilities may result in eviction, or substantial fine, or both. Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information IMPORTANT: The United States Centers for Disease Control, DCR's MassParks and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health encourage everyone to be safe outdoors. Diseases associated with ticks and mosquitoes are growing threats in Massachusetts. When outdoors, please take necessary precautions as suggested by the Centers for Disease Control. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all Massachusetts State Parks and Campgrounds. The reservation must be in the name of the primary occupant. To insure fairness for all MA customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 6-month Maximum Window cannot be changed or canceled until 18 days after the reservation was made. If you choose to cancel or change your reservation, a $10.00 fee will be charged. The reservation transaction charge is non-refundable. Cancellations made on the day of arrival must be made by contacting the campground and will result in the loss of the first night's camping use fee plus the $10.00 cancellation fee. Fees will be deducted from any refunds due or will be added to future reservations. Refunds of $5.00 or less cannot be processed. If you leave early, please check-out at the contact station. If you are unable to arrive on your scheduled arrival date, you must call the campground. Failure to contact the park by 8:00 A.M. the morning following your scheduled arrival date may result in your campsite being reassigned to another camper and forfeiture of all fees paid. Getting There:From the Northeast: Take Rte. 495 to Littleton and the intersection with Rte. 119 West. Follow Rte. 119 West approximately 19 miles to West Townsend. Turn left (south) on New Fitchburg Rd. Follow New Fitchburg Rd. 1 1/2 miles to the park entrance on the right. From the West: Follow Rte. 2 East to Rte. 31 North in Fitchburg. Follow Rte. 31 North through Fitchburg to the Town of Ashby and the intersection with Rte. 119 East. Follow Rte. 119 East approximately 2.5 miles to New Fitchburg Rd. in West Townsend. Turn right on New Fitchburg Rd. The Park entrance is 1.5 miles on the right. From the East: Rte. 2 West to Leominster and Rte. 13 North. Follow Rte. 13 North to Rte. 119 West in West Townsend. Turn left onto Rte. 119. Turn left onto New Fitchburg Rd. The Park entrance is 1.5 miles on the right.
