David Dutch has recently taken on the role of General Manager of Active Outdoors. His portfolio of responsibilities include the Camping, Hunting and Fishing Licensing divisions of Active. David is involved in corporate strategy , product strategy, market development, sales and client management.

He has been the EVP of Technology for ReserveAmerica since 2004, joining the company shortly before its launch of the Outdoor Recreation Management System (ORMS). He was responsible for Development, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Technology Operations as well as the technological and architectural roadmap for ReserveAmerica.

David previously held the position VP of Engineering for Sigma Systems (Liberate) and VP Development / Chief Architect Solutions at 724 Solutions. Prior to this he was the President of RAD International where he ran a successful software consulting business for 10 years providing services to IBM, Bell, Nortel, and many diverse technology companies.

Dave has degrees in Honours Math (Computer Science) with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Waterloo, a Master’s of Science (Computation) from McMaster University, and spent a year in the Computer Science Ph.D program at the University of Toronto in the prestigious Knowledge, Media, and Design Institute (KMDI). Dave left the KMDI program to join ReserveAmerica.

Frank Helwig has overall responsibility for ActiveOutdoor's product lines. He has guided the design, development and ongoing evolution of our industry-leading ORMS suite of products, as well as our web consumer portals.

Frank has been with Active Outdoors and ReserveAmerica since 2002. Prior to that, he served as the VP, Product Development and VP, Online Commerce for a leading Canadian technology company, working with several Fortune 500 clients on rolling out high-profile transactional B2C and B2B websites, with primary focus on the Retail and Automotive Industry verticals.

Frank holds an MA from Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany.
