HIGH WATER ALERT: Mississinewa Lake is above normal pool level, and is expected to rise in the coming days due to recent heavy rain. The beach and campground mooring area are CLOSED. The Miami State Recreation Area boat ramp courtesy dock is OPEN. Courtesy docks at Red Bridge, Pearson's Mill, and Francis Slocum State Recreation Areas have been REMOVED for the time being. All boaters are encouraged to use extreme caution on the lake and watch for floating debris. Motorists in the area also need to be aware that roads may become hazardous and impassable due to the rising lake elevation. Check back or contact the property directly for updates.
