Attention: All New Jersey State parks/forests are in a Stage 2 Fire Ban. All fires in wooded areas will be prohibited unless in an elevated prepared fireplace, elevated charcoal grill or stove using electricity or a liquid or gas fuel. An elevated prepared fireplace must be constructed of steel, stone, brick or concrete with its fire box elevated at least one foot above the ground surface and surrounded by at least a ten feet radius clearance to mineral soil. The ban will remain in effect from Wednesday 4/23/14 thru Thursday, April 24, 2014.

New Jersey's Free Fishing Days:
Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, 2014. Free fishing days are held annually in New Jersey to provide an introduction to freshwater fishing within all public waters. This is a perfect time for families to get out and enjoy two days of fun for free. No fishing license or trout stamp is needed, but all other regulations, including size and daily catch limits, remain in effect.
