2014 Reservation/Transaction Fees:

In addition to the park facility use fee, there is a nightly reservation/transaction fee. Internet reservations, the per night fee is $4.56. Call Center, the per night fee is $4.61. Walk-In transactions at the park, the per night fee is $4.51. Reservation/Transaction Fees are Non-Refundable.


NOT A SHELTER: Cardinal Picnic Area and Pheasant Run Picnic Area is only an open picnic area. There is NO SHELTER available. Please be aware of this when making reservation.

ALCOHOL POLICY:

The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.

Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit and must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.

Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

Description

Escape daily hustle and bustle of the city and seek the solitude of nature! This day-use park, with a 90-acre lake for boating and fishing, also features picnic areas, rental picnic pavilions, recycled tire playground, and a disc golf course. The Schaeffer Farm Trail Area offers 12 miles of marked trails for hiking and mountain biking. For the more adventuresome hiker, the 16.5-mile Seneca Creek Greenway Trail follows the entire course of the river. Historical sites include a mill and a one-room schoolhouse.
