Prairie Lake also has muskies and small mouth bass. There are 26 miles of equestrian trail, 24 miles of mountain bike trail, 9 miles of paved bike trail, three miles of hiking only trail, and a quarter mile wild flower trail. The equestrian and mountain bike trail can also be hiked. The three mile trail and the 24 miles of mountain bike trail could also be used for cross country skiing From January 16th-March 31st when we have four inchs of snow we have 20 miles of snowmobile trail. The area is famouus for its quality archery deer hunting. This past year we had hunters from 27 states visit the site. We are second or third each year in dove harvest on Illinois public land.
