Eagle Creek State Recreation Area, IL
DescriptionLocated in East Central Illinois - just a short drive from Springfield, Decatur, Champaign, Effingham and other surrounding communities, Eagle Creek State Park is situated on the central part of beautiful Lake Shelbyville and provides the perfect setting outdoor recreation and natural relaxation for a day, weekend, or even longer. Four miles southeast of Findlay, the site is situated on 11,100 acres of water with 250 miles of shoreline and offer large tracts of carefully maintained indigenous woodland ideal for camping, hiking, fishing, waterskiing, pontoon boating, or just plain bobbing and drifting on the glittering expanse of the lake itself.

Alerts and Important InformationShelter Reservations are non-refundable unless the area is closed by the Department, in this circumstance the Site Manager will contact you prior to your reservation date to cancel and issue your refund.
For a campsite, a "Single Family" consisting of 4 related adults with or without children occupying the same shelter are allowed; or a "Single Group" consisting of 4 unrelated adults with or without children occupying the same shelter are allowed.
A responsible adult (18 years of age or older) from the camping party must register for the party and thereby acknowledge compliance with the rules and regulations of the park for the party.
Pets must be leashed and attended at all times and all waste must be attended to properly.
For the sake of all campers, disorderly conduct or unreasonable noise will not be permitted.
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m.
Wolf Creek State Park offers a swimming beach. The cost is $1.00 per person.

Eagle Creek is approximately 30 miles West from I-57 at Mattoon, Illinois (exit onto Rt. 16 West) and 9 miles North of Shelbyville just off of Hwy. 128
