Firewood Notice: As of June 1, 2014, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from more than 10 miles away from the destination campground.
In addition, firewood that has been in an EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Information Line 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip.
Attention: Due to multiple Shower/Flush Toilet Building development projects the entire Quartzite campground and 37 campsites in the Northern Lights Campground will be closed beginning September 1, 2014. We have targeted this project to be completed in time for the Memorial Day weekend in 2015 or earlier. Alerts and Important Information
During the month of October and from then until weather allows, the water taps, bathrooms and dump station facilities may be unavailable based upon the weather, one winterized water tap is available in the Quartzite campground.

  • All other sites in the Quartzite and Group Camp are available for 1st come / 1st served, when not on reservations.
  • All other sites are closed to camping when not on reservations.

    Tepee Sites are located near the Ice Age Campsites.

    Pets must be on a leash (under 8') and attended at all times.

    All campers must arrive and be set up by 11 p.m. Electric boat motor only, no gas motors. Wisconsin Fishing License required; a trout stamp is required for trout fishing.

    Boy Scout / Girl Scout Jamboree (several thousand scouts) is the weekend before Columbus Day Weekend, every year.

    Between early May and mid June for one day there will be aerial spraying for Gypsy Moths in the early morning hours, areas of the park may include the campground. The aerial spraying is not harmful to humans and visitors can go to website http://gypsymoth.wi.gov/ . Or they can call the 1800-642-MOTH info line or more information.

    Payment in full will be charged to your credit card upon completion of the reservation. A non-refundable $10 on-line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation.

    A non-refundable fee of $5.00 will be charged for any reservation cancellation. An additional late cancellation fee may apply to cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date, depending on your reservation.

    Getting There
    From the South on I-90/94: Take Exit 106 onto Hwy 33. Travel west to Baraboo. At 2nd stoplight, turn left on Hwy 123 South. Follow Hwy 123 south 3 miles to park entrance.

    From the North on I-90/94: Take Exit 92 onto Hwy 12 East. Travel south about 10 miles to Hwy 159 East. Turn left on Hwy 159 East and proceed for approximately 2 miles to Hwy 123 South. Turn right on Hwy 123 South and follow to the park entrance.

    From the South on Hwy 12: Turn right on Hwy 159 East, proceed approximately 2 miles to Hwy 123 South. Turn right and follow to the park entrance.

    From the North on Hwy 12: Turn left onto Hwy 159 East and proceed for approximately 2 miles to Hwy 123 South. Turn right onto Hwy 123 South and follow to the park entrance.

    From the south on Hwy 113: After leaving the Ferry, follow Hwy 113 north. Turn left on Hwy DL, follow to park entrance. Ferry closed in winter.
