This quaint Historic District is directly located in the heart of Crystal Cove State Park's 3.5 miles of pristine coastline; stay right on the beach or overlook it from a bluff top as each cottage has been painstakingly restored and furnished to recreate Crystal Cove's unique historic beach culture and ambiance.

Take a step back in time with a visit to the newly restored Crystal Cove State Park Historic District. Whether in an Individual or Dorm~Style cottage, Crystal Cove Beach Cottages offer gorgeous ocean views, charming historic details, and a glimpse of a uniquely Southern California beach community from a bygone era - reserve a stay in your rustic Historic District by the seashore.

Crystal Cove Cottages is on reservations All Year.

  • The person named on the reservation must be present and must provide valid identification at time of Check-In.
  • Check-In time is between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Check-Out time is prior to 11:00am. No Check-In's will be allowed after 9:00 pm since the park gates are closed.
  • PARKING ENTRY GATES ARE CLOSED DAILY BETWEEN 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. ALL VEHICLE ENTRY AND PARKING AS WELL AS ALL ACCESSIBILITY FOR CHECK-IN/REGISTRATION IS RESTRICTED DURING THIS TIME.
  • Each registration includes guest parking for two (2) vehicles.
  • Non-registered guests and visitors must vacate park property, including cottages, between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.
  • Upon arrival, guests will be required to issue a credit card, for an authorization only [not a charge], serving as a security deposit for keys, Parking Access Cards and flashlights. Failure to return key(s) and/or Parking Access Card(s) will result in forfeiture of deposits. We charge $50 for EACH lost or not returned key or Parking Access Card.
  • No pets are allowed, except ADA Service Animals (dogs) as recognized by ADA law, titles II & III.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all cottages, violations will be charged damage fee(s) up to $250.
  • OPEN FLAMES, are PROHIBITED in the CRYSTAL COVE HISTORIC DISTRICT. Including smoking, charcoal/wood burning barbeques, campfires, candles, incense, torches and other open flames. Self-contained gas canister type BBQ's are permitted on the beach and in approved locations on cottages exterior only.
  • Occupancy loads will be strictly enforced. Any additional guests not listed on the reservation will be charged at Check-In. All guests 4 years old and older will be counted as chargeable guests.
  • For the cottages there is a 7 night maximum stay limit per customer in a ''rolling'' calendar year. Creating multiple user IDs to bypass the 7 night rule is not acceptable. Reservations made under individual unique multiple user IDs will not be honored.
  • RATES SHOWN DO NOT INCLUDE APPLICABLE TAXES OR EXTRA GUEST SERVICE FEES (If applicable).
  • The City of Newport Beach Uniform Transient Occupancy Tax of ten percent (10%), also known as a Bed Tax, is charged for all occupied cottages.
  • Alcohol possession is strictly prohibited & monitored in all dorm-style cottages.
  • The cottages are operated by a Concessionaire - Discount passes issue by California State Parks are not valid.
  • All laws, including State Park Rules and Regulations are enforceable.
  • Sub-renting, auctioning, assigning, or unauthorized transferring of cottage reservations, is prohibited by law and will be strictly enforced.
  • Violation of any of the above rules and regulations may result in forfeiture of payment and ejection from the premises.

    • Getting There:

    Crystal Cove Beach Cottages are located on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach, California. When driving southbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Corona del Mar and points north, the entrance to the Historic District of Crystal Cove State Park is located at the Los Trancos cross-street, which is the first traffic light south of Newport Coast Drive. Turn right at Los Trancos to enter the park.

    If driving northbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Laguna Beach and points south, Los Trancos is the first traffic light after Crystal Heights Drive. Turn left at Los Trancos to enter the park. Proceed to the guard station for directions to the registration office. For those who would like to use an internet map service, search for Crystal Cove in Newport Coast, CA 92657.
