ALERT - SUMMER OF 2014 : Black Butte Lake provides flood control and irrigation water to adjacent communities. Water levels may fluctuate; in general, higher levels in spring and early summer and lower levels in late summer and into the fall. As of August 18, water levels are around 35% of capacity. Buckhorn and Eagle Pass boat ramps are open. Orland Buttes boat ramp is restricted and may be dry before Labor Day. Orland Buttes campers may choose to launch at Eagle Pass or camp at Buckhorn.
