DescriptionWith its woods, water and wildlife, Walnut Point has it all - from fishing, camping and hiking to picnicking, hunting and bicycling. Located amid a vast agricultural landscape, Walnut Point is an oasis of majestic hardwoods, wildflowers, wildlife, fish and fun. In the spring, the park comes alive with redbuds, wildflowers and songbirds. In the fall, the park's extensive wooded acres dominate the eye with foliage colors that are varied and spectacular. During any time of the year, wildlife viewing opportunities are everywhere. Opened in 1968, the 671-acre park is managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.Services & Amenities:

Go east on Illinois Highway 133 to Oakland, Turn north onto Walnut Street, Keep going north, the park is 3 miles from town -Going South on I-57, use Exit 212 at Tuscola.
