2013 Reservation/Transaction Fees:
In addition to the park facility use fee, there is a nightly reservation/transaction fee. Internet reservations, the per night fee is $4.56. Call Center, the per night fee is $4.61. Walk-In transactions at the park, the per night fee is $4.51. Reservation/Transaction Fees are Non-Refundable.
Youth Group Camping Reservations:
Youth Groups must call Tuckahoe State Park at 410-820-1668 to reserve Youth Group Camping areas.
Cancellation Fee Policy Change-Effective May 1, 2013: To better serve our Maryland Park Service customers, we are changing our cancellation policy to a reservation cancellation service charge of $6 per reservation; except for Assateague Island State Park, which will remain at $6 per night. DescriptionTuckahoe State Park is a stream and valley park divided by Tuckahoe Creek, which runs the length of the park's 3,800 acres. Boating and fishing are available in the 60-acre lake. Due to the unique composition of the area's streams, fields, forests, forests and wetlands, a tremendous diversity of flora and fauna can be enjoyed. The park offers 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, picnicking, as well as a recycled tire playground for children. Seasonal activities and special events are hosted throughout the year. Adkins Arboretum, is also occupies 500 acres within the park and displays vegetation indigenous to Maryland. Tuckahoe State Park offers a ropes course, Scales and Tales display and lead teambuilding activities for additional fee and reservation made through park office. Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer. Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation. (Latitude, Longitude):38.96667, -75.94278 38°58'0"N, 75°56'34"W Tuckahoe State Park is located approximately 35 miles east of the Bay Bridge just off MD RT 404, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. On RT 50/301 East, over Bay Bridge. RT 50/301 splits, bear to the right on RT 50. Make a left at the intersection of RT 50 and RT 404. Go approximately 8 miles until you come to the intersection of RT 404 and RT 480. Make a left on RT 480. To your immediate left take Eveland Road. Once on Eveland Road follow directional signs to area of choice.
