Site

$40.00 per night.

Free permits are required to access the gorge floor and can be obtained at the Interpretive Center. Visitors must wear proper footwear to obtain a permit -- no flip-flops or crocs. Permits will not be issued after 4 p.m. (3 p.m. during daylight savings time)
Permits limited to 100 per day. On busy days, permits may run out early in the morning. Permits are not transferable.
Groups of 20 can get permits on Saturday and Sunday only. Groups of 30 can get permits Monday through Friday only. To protect the natural resource, no groups larger than 30 are allowed.
Weather and water flow conditions can restrict gorge floor access.
During deer hunting season (Sept. 11 - Jan. 1) Stoneplace Trail permits will not be issued until after 10 a.m. and hikers/bikers are encouraged to wear reflective orange.

Consumption or use of alcoholic beverages or intoxicants is unlawful in any public-use area.

Hikers must obtain a permit to hike to the floor of the gorge. Hikers with a Gorge Floor Permit may not start less than 3 hours before sunset. Go to Interpretive Center for information. Gorge floor permits are not issued after 3:00 p.m. - November thru March, or after 4:00 p.m. - April thru October. Stoneplace Trail bicyclists must obtain a permit and may not start less than 1 hour before sunset.

If you do not arrive on the day of your stay, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.

All campers must check-in no later than 4:00pm on their day of arrival.

This is a primitive, rugged site. Site is located by itself. Site has no water or electricity. No access to shower facilities. Site has pit toilet, fire ring, picnic tables. Site is located across from Terrora Campground. Camping includes a 3-sided elevated shelter, maximum capacity 25 (3 large tents or several small tents). Vehicle parking located approximately 30 yards from parking lot. Check-in at the Interpretive Center no later than 4:00 p.m.

Park gates close at dark daily. Rates do not include parkpass fees. Check-in 8 am to 3 pm. Late check-ins not permitted. No hikers may start less than 2 hours before sunset. No bicyclists may start less than 1 hour before sunset. Check-in and trailhead located at Interpretive Center. This area is locked after dark. Emergency Info posted at pay phone.
