OverviewSunset Campground is located on the banks of scenic Lake of the Woods, in close proximity to several wilderness areas, offering visitors opportunities to experience both the serene and wild aspects of south central Oregon.Set beneath a towering conifer forest, the sites in this campground are widely spaced and offer lakefront views, showcasing the stunning Mt. McLoughlin. Natural Features:Fremont National Forest is hemmed in by towering snow-capped peaks and wide-open sage basins. Recreation:Sunset Campground is a wonderful location for hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and biking in summer and early fall. In the winter months visitors can take advantage of skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Facilities:Sunset Campground has standard sites to accommodate RVs, trailers and tents. Nearby Attractions:The Crater Lake National Park is a popular attraction, where visitors can learn about its unique natural and cultural history.
