SERVICE CHARGES:
In addition to the Shelter/Picnic Area service charge, there is a $3 per person facility entrance fee for Maryland residents on weekends and holidays from April to October. Out of state residents, $5 per person.
Senior citizens 62 and older with MD Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee. Information available at: http://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/goldenage.asp
Children in car seats are exempt from paying the facility entrance fee.
$3 and $5 entrance tickets may be pre-purchased in advance of reservation by contacting the park. Renter is responsible to distribute tickets to guests prior to arriving at park. No pre-purchased tickets can be distributed at entrance station on the date of reservation. Maximum number of tickets available up to capacity of shelter.
SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
50 person capacity,parking for 10 cars, disabled accessible, near lake and open field. Located in wooded area next to horseshoe pit & open play area. Easy access for caterers. Has grills & lights. Drinking water at or next to shelter. Within walking distance to playing field, playground, and lake shore.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas . Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.
Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.
Internet reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

Prices are subject to change without notice and reservation fees, as well as cancellation fees are non-refundable.
FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.
TRASH FREE:
Maryland State Parks are Trash-Free. The Day-Use Area does not have trash cans. Persons renting shelters or having large groups should make sure they have the means to remove their trash. Small trash bags for your use are distributed at all developed areas. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle.

Park hours are from 8:00 am to Sunset. Groups using shelters and picnic areas must leave by Sunset.
PETS:
Pets allowed at Shelters and Picnic Areas. Must be on leash and cleaned up after. Pets not allowed in buildings.
