We would like to inform campers that they will not be allowed to check in for their reservation without a DMV Handicap Placard or a California State Parks Disabled Discount Pass and a matching photo ID. The blue placard will not allow them to get the discounted rate but it will allow them to check in and camp at full price. If they do not have either the blue placard or the DDP Pass, their reservation will be cancelled upon check-in. The Disabled Discount passes are available by mail through Sacramento or in person at the North Sector Office located in Carlsbad, CA.
You are about to make a reservation for a DISABLED ACCESS SITE IN CALIFORNIA. Visitors reserving accessible campsites must possess a DMV Disabled Placard or license plates issued by DMV (or similar agency of another state). A Disabled Veterans license plate will also be accepted when reserving or occupying an accessible campsite. At the time of check-in, visitors must show the DMV placard. The disabled visitor must be an occupant of the site for the entire reservation period. No refunds will be issued for invalid reservations.
