Description

Salt Rock Campground is a great place to bring your pets and your family for an enjoyable summertime camping trip. Two pets are allowed per campsite, and the park offers one mile of riverfront.

Geography:

Salt Rock Campground is located in the town of Baltic, in southern Connecticut.

Recreation:

Fishing is available by permit along the Shetucket River, which offers over one mile of waterfront access. Permits may be obtained at the Salt Rock State Campground office.

Facilities:

Facilities include tent and recreational vehicle (RV) sites, some of which have utilities. There are also restrooms, a dumping station, showers, and an in-ground swimming pool. Two pets are permitted in each campsite.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. 11 month reservation window. One vehicle per site limit. Parking available for second vehicle in visitor lot. Pets are allowed. There is a charge of $10.00 for second pet. Fee collected at campground office. Maximum two pets per site.

Take Exit 83 off I-395. Go left, and follow Rte. 97 through Baltic. The campground is 2 miles north on the left, just past Salt Rock Road.
