Description

Rodman Campground is located near Rodman Reservoir on the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway. Silver Springs and Wild Waters water park are located close by in Silver Springs near Ocala, approximately 37 miles from the campground. Crescent Beach is approximately 45 miles away and can be reached within one hour. Kirkpatrick Dam is less than a mile west of the campground and offers a boat ramp to the Ocklawaha River, fishing piers, picnic areas and restrooms. The Florida Trail Association hiking trail and an atv trail is located one mile west of the campground. Within the campground, there is boat ramp access to Rodman Reservoir. There is a wide variety of fish species in this location. The area is popular for bass fishing. Access to the St. Johns river from Rodman Reservoir is through Buckman Lock.

Water is available at the entrance to the primitive area.
Sites 1-13 and 40-68 have water hookup.
There is no swimming here at Rodman.

Getting There:

FROM JACKSONVILLE TAKE US 17 SOUTH TO PALATKA. TURN RIGHT ONTO HWY 19 SOUTH. FOLLOW 19 SOUTH AND CROSS THE FLORIDA BARGE CANAL BRIDGE. AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BRIDGE TURN RIGHT ONTO RODMAN DAM ROAD. THE CAMPGROUND IS APPROX TWO MILES ON THE RIGHT.

FROM OCALA TO HWY 314 NORTH TO WHICH DEADENDS INTO HWY 19. CONTINUE NORTH ON HWY 19, BEFORE CROSSING FLORIDA BARGE CANAL BRIDGE TURN LEFT ONTO RODMAN DAM ROAD. THE CAMPGROUND IS APPROX. TWO MILES ON THE RIGHT
