On Sunday June 1, 2014, Pleasant Valley Road will be closed between Camper Hill Road and Lakeshore Drive/Interstate intersection from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for the YMCA Triathlon. Please make note and make arrangements to avoid any conflicts. To detour to interstate 68 from the Campground: Turn left onto Pleasant Valley Road. Enter into Pennsylvania (road becomes Beans Cove Road). Take Beans Cove to Rices Road on the right. At the end of Rices Road, turn right onto Street Road and cross back into Maryland. Follow Street Road to the intersection of National Pike (Route 144). National Pike runs East and West; interstate 68 East or West can be accessed from this road. GOLDEN AGE PASS:
Persons 62 years of age and older with Maryland Park Service Golden Age Pass are entitled to half-price camping Sunday - Thursday, excluding holidays. Display of Golden Age Pass will be required upon check-in. Additional service charges will be applied if unable to provide proof of valid pass. Golden Age Pass holder must be an occupant on the site for the entire reservation.

Bicycle Helmets are required by Maryland State Law!!!
Helmets are required for everyone under the age of 16, including passengers, who ride their bicycles on the road, bicycle paths, or any public property. (TR § 21-1207.1)
Helmets are also required for everyone under the age of 16 who are riding on a scooter or on in-line skates. (TR § 21-1207.2)
The helmets must meet or exceed the standards of the American National Standards Institute, the Snell Memorial Foundation, or the American Society for Testing and Materials. (TR § 21-1207.1)
Campsites are limited to 2 camping units, 2 vehicles and 6 persons. All camping activities must be contained to the designated hardened areas. Additonal parking is available at the campground registration office.
NEW QUIET HOURS:
Quiet time will be maintained in the campground from 10 pm to 7 am. Generators are permitted, but must conform to the established quiet hours.
Check In time begins at 3PM. You must register for camp sites and cabins during the posted office hours.
Pets permitted: Ash, Birch, Chestnut, Dogwood, Elm Loops (Sites 1 through 143) and Family Group site. They must be on leash at all times within the park except while swimming. Pets are allowed to swim and play in the lake outside of the sand beach areas. Please clean up after your pets and dispose of waste in proper trash containers.
Pets NOT permitted: Fir, Gum, Hickory, Ironwood Loops (Sites 144 through 278); Easter Hill Chalet and Youth Group Areas.

The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all Rocky Gap State Park areas with the exception of interior areas of motorhomes. Additional Alcohol Policy Information can be found at:
Two vehicles per site parked on the gravel area. Extra vehicles may park at the camp store.
Boats are allowed on Lake Habeeb 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Boat ramp is located at the campground beach. Navigational lights are required after sunset. ELECTRIC MOTORS ONLY.
Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the campground beach.
The forest land around the campground is home to black bears. They have been known to travel through the campground looking for an easy meal. Please, keep all food in your vehicle and trash in the park dumpster. If you see a bear, tell a Ranger.
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property. Firewood can be purchased at the camp office and at camp host sites.
A valid Maryland fishing license is required for individuals 16 years of age or older. License may be purchased with a credit card by phone at: 1-855-855-3906. Fishing is available 24 hours a day seven days a week on Lake Habeeb.

There is a two night minimum weekend stay (Friday and Saturday) and a three night minimum weekend stay on holiday weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.
