SERVICE CHARGES: In addition to the shelter rental charge, there is a facility service charge upon entering the park. ALL visitors are subject to the facility service charge.
Weekends and Holidays: $3/person
Weekdays: $2/vehicle
Add $2.00 for out of state residents.
Senior citizens 62 and older with MD Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee. Information available at: http://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/goldenage.asp
No charge for children in car seats.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
Alcohol permits cost $35 and are available only for groups reserving a picnic shelter.
Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to obtain an alcohol permit.
INFLATABLE EQUIPMENT:
Inflatable play equipment (i.e. "moon bounces") and trampolines are prohibited without a permit. This permit must be obtained in advance of your event. To obtain a permit, contact park headquarters (410-557-7994; M-F 7a-3p) in advance of arrival date. Liability insurance from an insurance company or the vendors insurance company is REQUIRED. Portable swimming pools and dunk tanks are not allowed in the park.
CATERERS
Catering is allowed at Shelter but the caterers are required to pay the day-use service charge upon entering.
PETS:
Pets on leashes are allowed in all of the picnic areas.
PRICING:
Prices are subject to change without notice and reservation fees, as well as cancellation fees are non-refundable.
FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

AMPLIFIED/MUSIC EQUIPMENT:
To play any type of amplified or music equipment (DJ's, radios, microphones, etc), a permit is required & may be obtained by calling
the park office at 410-557-7994 (M-F only). This needs to be obtained BEFORE the day of the event. Amplified Music Permits are only issued for groups reserving a shelter.
TRASH FREE:
All Maryland Parks are trash free. Park patrons must remove their trash at the end of the day. Please bring large trash bags and remove all trash from the park.
PARK HOURS:
The Park is open 9:00 am until Sunset, March - October.
November - February, weekends only, 10:00 am to Sunset.
Guests using the Shelter must leave before Sunset.Site
PARKING SPACES
Due to limited parking, carpooling, is RECOMMENDED.
Parking is NOT ALLOWED on the grass or on the main road.
Spaces are not reserved, designated or guaranteed.
Parking spaces are used by shelter renters and the general public.
Shelter renters should arrive early to secure parking near their shelter.
DAY USE TICKETS:
Prepaid tickets to cover the cost of the service charge for your guests may be purchased in advance of your event by contacting Rocks State Park at 410-557-7994.
Tickets will NOT be held at the gate for will call.
Service charges cannot be tallied and paid at the end of the event.
