Site

This primitive group campsite (minimum size 11, maximum capacity 35) is located 200-300 yards from the pier. The site has three 6-ft. picnic tables, one double-BBQ, a fire circle with four benches, a shelter, a drinking fountain with spigot, 2 chemical toilets, and a 5'x8' storage container with combo lock. GENERATORS are NOT ALLOWED.

PARKING: Contact park in advance to arrange to drive to the site only once, and only with a staff escort, for a maximum of four vehicles (must display parking passes). Parking is also available at the main lot; total 7 passes will be mailed 5 days prior (gate closes at 4pm Nov-Mar, 7pm May-Sep, 5pm other months); campers can hike 1.5 miles to the site or ride the shuttle that runs hourly between 7:30am-3pm THU-MON for a small fee. Your group must arrive by 5pm to check in at the park.

Site

Cell phone coverage at the camp may be spotty. A better connection may be available in other areas of the park. EMERGENCIES: Unless an emergency, vehicles MAY NOT drive out of the campsite. FIRES: There is a hose available to help extinguish fires. Use caution to avoid injury. DIRECTIONS TO THE PARK: Exit I-80 in Richmond at Richmond Parkway, turn right onto Giant Highway and proceed to the park entrance.
