SERVICE CHARGES:
In addition to the shelter rental service charge, there is an additional $5 per person charge on weekends and holidays (May - Sept). All other times $3 per vehicle for MD residents. Out-of-State residents, add $2 to the above fees. Senior citizens 62 and older with MD Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee. ALCOHOL POLICY:

The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins,motorhomes, and designated shelters. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.

Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit and must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.

Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST WEAR HELMETS WHEN RIDING BICYCLES, SCOOTERS OR IN LINE SKATES (MARYLAND LAW). THERE MAY NOT BE A LIFEGUARD AVAILABLE.

ALL TRASH MUST BE PACKED OUT - BRING OWN GARBAGE BAGS. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

CAMP OFFICE HOURS:
DUE TO LIMITED STAFFING, AFTER LABOR DAY WEEKEND CAMPERS MAY HAVE TO CHECK-IN AT PARK HEADQUARTERS WHEN THE CAMP OFFICE IS CLOSED. CHECK SIGN AT ENTRANCE OF PARK OR CALL AHEAD TO KNOW WHERE TO CHECK-IN. STARTING IN NOVEMBER UNTIL MEMORIAL DAY, CAMPERS MUST CHECK-IN AT PARK HEADQUARTERS FROM 8:00AM - 4:00PM. AFTER 4:00 PM CAMPERS CAN CHECK-IN AT THE SELF REGISTRATION BOARD AT THE CAMP OFFICE. REGULAR HOURS RESUME MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

FISHING: A Maryland Tidewater Sport Fishing License is required if you are 16 yrs or older. You can fish at Causeway, Point and fishing pier, all other areas are closed at night. It is your responsibility to know all fishing and crabbing regulations in Maryland.
