Alcoholic beverages and fireworks are prohibited. Firearms are prohibited except for with the proper license.
No entry before or after hours. Park gates locked at closing time.
Pets are allowed except in park buildings, but they must be on a leash no longer than six feet and cannot be left unattended.
Unlicensed vehicles, motorcycles, golf carts, ATV's and mini-bikes are prohibited with the exception of mobility-aid devices used by a mobility-impaired person. All vehicles are prohibited from walkways, trails and other areas not designated for such purposes.

Park Hours Change with the seasons. Please be aware of gate hours. Gates are not opened if you arrive after closing time, regardless of whether you have a reservation. Campers are locked in once the gate closes until the following morning.
There is no electric or water hookups in the campground.
January, February, November, December: 8am-6pm (River section areas 830 am-5pm)
March, April, May, September, October: 8am-8pm (river section areas 830 am-7pm)
June, July August: 8am-9pm (river section areas 830 am-8pm)
Posted quiet hours are enforced. Building fires in undesignated areas is prohibited.
North Carolina state park rules and regulations are posted in each park and enforced by rangers. Violating these rules and regulations is a misdemeanor and may result in a fine and revocation of permit.
State vehicle and traffic laws are enforced, and the speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
North Carolina state parks are wildlife sanctuaries; no hunting is allowed and collecting plants, minerals and artifacts is prohibited. State fishing regulations are enforced.
