In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Description

Old Veteran’s Lake Campground is a 16-unit family campground located within the Peshtigo River State Forest. The state forest is 9200 acres plus an additional 3000 acres of Peshtigo River flowages and borders the Governor Thompson State Park. Old Veteran’s Lake Campground is located approximately 16 miles northwest of the village of Crivitz. The campground is located in a wooded, quiet setting with a small lake and beach.

Alerts and Important Information
There is no contact station located at Old Veteran’s Lake Campground. Campers should check in prior to setting up camp at the state forest headquarters building, located within the Governor Thompson State Park, N10008 Paust Lane, Crivitz WI 54114.

Getting There:

Check-in / Registration for Old Veteran’s Lake Campground is at the state forest headquarters building, located within Governor Thompson State Park.

To our office: From Crivitz, travel northwest on County Highway A to County Highway X (four way stop). Turn left on County Highway X. Continue on Highway X past the High Falls Reservoir bridge and then turn right on Parkway Road. Go north about .5 mile on Parkway Road and then turn left on Ranch Road. Go west on Ranch Road about 1 mile to Paust Lane. Turn right (north) on Paust Lane to enter the park
